Citizen Leaders Program
Pretoria Junior City Council
The Junior City Council (JCC) has been a driving force for youth empowerment in Tshwane, inspiring young people to unite, serve their communities, and make a difference. Building on this legacy, we launched the Citizen Leadership Development Program—designed to equip JCC youth with the skills and mindset to lead in all areas of life.
Flourish Centre developed the program content and presented the training to 80 members of the JCC.
This program focuses on non-positional leadership, proving that leadership isn’t about titles but about making an impact. By combining self-reflection with community engagement, it helps participants embrace their stories, discover their strengths, and ignite their passion for contributing to their communities and country.
At its core, the program activates a positive, action-oriented view of leadership, giving youth the tools to shape their futures and create a more connected, compassionate society.
Together, we aim to empower these young leaders not only to navigate the challenges of today but to pioneer solutions for a better tomorrow.

Flourish Centre developed the program content and presented the training to 50 members of middle management.

- Time Management & Ownership Thinkingy – Understanding your responses to pressure, discipline & goal-setting. Develop an ownership mindset to become irreplaceable.
Raising the Barre
Rhythm of Hope Outreach
Our goal with Raising the Barre 2026 is to take the high school bursars on a journey to Showing Up with Empathy – living a life worthy of the calling they have received (Eph 4:1).
Flourish Centre oversees program design and implementation. We appoint speakers and put success metrics in place.
Objectives of the mentorship program:
- Discover the loving heart of the Father
- Grow in identity, emotional wellness and EQ
- Grasp Biblical views on empathy, hope & justice
- Stir up a desire to serve, minister & teach
- Learn Biblical principles of financial stewardship

In today’s dynamic and competitive work environment, leadership skills are crucial for achieving success in your vocation. This proposal outlines a customized training program for the development of leadership competencies aligned with industry expectations and academic outcomes.
Flourish Centre developed and facilitated the program in 2025 and 2026 in collaboration with DARE Training.
At its core, the program activates a positive, action-oriented view of leadership, giving students the tools to shape their futures and pioneer solutions for a better tomorrow.
This, we believe, is rooted in emotional intelligence, collaboration skills, agility and ultimately the ability to take ownership.
